How to reset your Fire TV

Fire TV is a streaming media player developed by Amazon. It is a small black box that plugs into your TV’s HDMI port and gives you access to a wide range of on-demand content, including movies, TV shows, music, and games. Fire TV also allows you to access other online services, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video. In addition, Fire TV comes with a remote control that lets you navigate the interface and search for content using your voice.

Sometimes your Fire TV will lock up, freeze, or act erratically. Today’s devices are prone to these glitches. The best thing to do in this case is to reset your Fire TV.

Perform the following steps in order-

To reset your Fire TV-

Total Time: 2 minutes

  1. Press the Home button on your Fire TV Stick Remote.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select My Fire TV.

  4. Scroll down and select Reset to Factory Defaults.

    Enter your PIN if you’re asked for it.

  5. Select Reset.

Resetting your device to factory conditions will erase all your apps, settings, and data, so you can sell it or give it away without compromising your privacy.
