How to reset UConnect

Chrysler has a great UConnect system, but there are a few reasons why you might want to reset UConnect in your vehicle. If you are experiencing issues with the UConnect system, such as problems with navigation, audio, or Bluetooth connectivity, resetting the system can sometimes help resolve these issues.

Problems suggesting a reset is in order:

  • Phone and audio connectivity problems

Perform the following steps in order-

UConnect Hard Reset Procedure:

Total Time: 2 minutes

  1. Ensure your vehicle is in Park and in “Run” mode.

  2. Press and hold down the volume and tuner knob buttons at the same time.

  3. Hold down the knobs for 10 – 20 seconds.

    After holding down the knobs, the screen should flash your vehicle’s brand name and then go dark.

    After a few moments the brand name will return, the system will reinitialize, and it will return you to the main UConnect screen.

To reset the UConnect system in a Chrysler vehicle, you will need to access the system’s main menu and select the “Reset” option.
